Accent Furniture Garden Nursery Landscaping Guide
Teak Accent Furniture For Your Home
By Jon Kilts
When you are at the point that you really want to add your personality
to the feeling of your home, teak accent furniture and teak accessories
are some of the best choices you can make. These pieces will create
uniqueness and bring your own sense of style into your living
environment, while making a smart investment.
Of course, you can review any number of design options that are
available for the interior and exterior of your home that can
bring a sense of your style to life, but it is often the smaller
accessories and accent furniture pieces that people will focus
on as they take in your living room. Even your deck or patio garden
areas would look amazing with some teak garden furniture which
can also be enhanced with unique accents.
Express Your Own Personality In Your Home
Teak accent furniture allows you not only to express your own
personality throughout your home, but also enables you to give
each space and room it’s only design flavor and panache,
serving to draw people from one area to another with interest
in the story that can be told with unique teak accessories.
Ideally, there should be an overall cohesive background design
that flows throughout your whole house, so that it feels like
all the rooms actually do belong and are tied together with purpose
and should be housed under the same roof.
In giving life and personality to your home, you will want to
select colors and themes that reflect your personal tastes and
style and that immediately makes a statement about you and makes
your home unique.
Customize And Reflect Your Tastes
Some of the things you can use to customize and reflect your
tastes, in addition to accent furniture and accent accessory pieces,
are: paint colors or a combinations of colors; lighting fixtures
and special lighting effects that you can choose; large furniture
pieces; patterns and textures used for upholstery and drapery.
Choosing the general style that appeals most to you will also
help in your selections. Are you the type that prefers the clean,
uncomplicated look of contemporary style? Or, does the plush opulence
of more traditional styles make you feel most comfortable. Other
general styles vary greatly and can give distinctive looks, such
as oriental style, mission style and retro style, just to name
a few.
There is no doubt that the interior design scheme of your home
creates an environment for you and for your family that will have
an enormous impact on your life.
You Want To Feel Comfortable And Relaxed In Your Own Home
The more content and happy you are with the environment that
surrounds you for the hours that you are in your home, the better
you will be able to feel comfortable. It may even make you feel
that you have entered your refuge, safe and separated from the
rest of the world.
Teak accent furniture is a quick and lovely way to impact your
environment positively. It might be something as small as a special
magazine rack to add to your bathroom, or a couple of special
teak loungers for your patio, custom made for relaxing on a beautiful
summer day.
One favorite way that many people choose to infuse their style
into the home setting, is by bringing home small accent furniture
items and teak accessories from their travels. This is a great
way to be able to both display and recall memorable trips and
also to add distinctive personal touches to the decor of your
home.

Little Known Home Decorating Facts....
What is teak?
Teak is a hardwood found in Asia. Unlike
the hardwood trees found in North America, teak is actually a
tropical tree found in rainforests that can grow upwards of one
hundred and twenty feet tall.
There is a difference in quality of teak
between that which is grown naturally in the forest and teak grown
on a plantation. The plantation teak is often weaker and will
split whereas the teak cut from naturally gown trees is far
sturdier.
