Chinese Feng Shui Helping You Clean Out The Clutter

By James R Blunt

Chinese feng shui is an ancient philosophy that is used in every aspect of today’s modern world. Homes are revolutionized by living a feng shui lifestyle. At home a person can have a positive outlook and dramatic results, but when one goes to work, if there is no feng shui, they may seem to be stuck in a rut.

However, hope is right around the corner. Chinese feng shui has rules that one can use to review their options and remodel their office space and in particular, their desk. This can help a person to stay on track while embracing the feng shui life.

Cleaning Out The Clutter On The Desk

One of the first rules of Chinese feng shui to use on a desk is to clean up the space. Good feng shui advice is, "The clutter of the room and the clutter of the soul are intrinsically linked."

If one’s work area is full of clutter, then they will more than likely work slower and have a lower productivity. Keeping papers and pens tidy on a desk can ensure that a person can work quickly and effectively.

Placing Items On Your Desk

Another way to approach the art of Chinese feng shui is to have items placed in certain areas of the desk. This placement should include items that deal with the five elements that are used throughout the feng shui design. These elements are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.

According to feng shui consultants, an office desk should have the following placement: in the north corner a cup of coffee or tea, the northeast corner a crystal paperweight, the northwest should have a computer terminal, the east display fresh flowers, the southeast a small green plant, the south a lamp or something red, and the west should have a golden ingot displayed. a golden ingot is similar to a boat and symbolizes abundance. This is one of the feng shui items that can be easily found.

Your Feng Shui Lifestyle At Home And At Work

Chinese feng shui can be used in every aspect of one’s life including the business office. By using the five main elements of feng shui to situate items on one’s desk, one can ensure that their feng shui lifestyle is carried from their home space to their work space.

Their productivity will more than likely be enhanced, and this can only make an employer smile with joy. However, before placing items correctly on the desk, one must clean up their work area and this can take time and effort, but the rewards are too numerous to ignore. Chinese feng shui is a great solution to the clutter that one constantly sees in an office.
