Modular Homes In Garden Nursery Landscaping Guide
Modular Homes In The Market Today
By James R Blunt
Modular homes in modern times are quite different from those
of the past. No longer are the factory built homes small and dull.
Today’s modular homes are spacious and more importantly, they
are very safe compared to those of yesteryear. A look at modular
homes in depth can put anyone’s fears of owning a home of this
type, as opposed to a site built home, to rest.
One of the first things that one should understand when looking
at modular homes in depth, is safety. A modular home is different
than a mobile manufactured home. Modular homes are like site built
homes, in the fact that they rest on a solid, site built foundation.
Modular Homes Built To Local Specific Rules And Building Codes
Another thing that one may be interested to know, is that manufactured
or mobile homes are built to HUD standards, but modular homes
are built to specific rules and building codes of the location
at which they will be built. Many times these codes are exceeded
by the modular home manufacturer.
Another thing that some may be interested to know, is that most
banks will readily finance the mortgage on these types of homes.
Borrowers are treated in the same way as borrowers for site built
homes.
This is in direct contrast to mobile home financing. On many
occasions, new mobile home owners may find the process of getting
a lender very difficult. Another plus when looking at investing
in the modular home, is that these abodes can be totally customized
to client specs.
Differences Between Modular Homes And Site Built Homes
When looking at modular homes in depth a person can make the
tough decision of whether or not to invest in a modular home.
One may be surprised to learn that site built homes and modular
homes have a ton in common, as they are very similar in nature.
The main difference between the two just happens to be that one
is built in a factory and one is built on site.
Researching can help people to find the perfect home choice for
themselves and their family. Owning a new home is the dream of
many and modular dwellings may just be the answer to those dreams.

Little Known Modular Homes Facts....
Are modular homes built to specification and energy efficient?
The great thing about modular homes is that
they are always built up to HUD specifications. Every piece is
inspected by quality control and then has to pass through the
building specification inspectors. They are also far more
efficient than most traditionally built homes.
Is the foundation part of the home’s cost and setup?
Most modular home manufacturers do not
cover the cost of the foundation. You can add that cost in
with your total home loan or you can pay for that out of your
own pocket. Most people elect to finance the total price so
they do not have as many initial fees or costs. Check with
the manufacturer to see what exactly is covered and what
is not.
