Carpet On The Floor Inside Your Home
By Joel F Mornigstar
New carpet is certainly one of the main things that make a house
a home. Different carpet styles give off different feelings, making
each one unique. No matter what type you choose to put on the
floor of your home, it will definitely add a charm that may have
been missing before.
There are so many styles that it is best to make sure you research
each fully in order to decide which is best for you. This article
is going to cover each to help you make your decision.
Location Of Installation Of Carpet
The first thing to consider when getting new carpet is the location
where it will be installed. If the carpet is going to be installed
in a child’s room, hallways or living room, then you will want
to make sure the carpet is of a high quality so you can be certain
it will last for a long time to come.
There are high quality carpets in just about every style and
fiber. You’ll need to examine all of your choices before purchasing,
because this carpet will be in your home for many years. The most
popular and often first choice contains nylon fibers.
Nylon Carpet Is Resistant To Stains
Nylon is resilient and a wise choice if you have children because
of its resistance to stains. It is a smart choice if you are putting
it on the floor in high traffic areas. It has a plush feeling
but remains practical. On the cheaper side of practicality, you
could choose olefin fiber. Berber carpet is often made from olefin.
It is a strong carpet style that’s resistant to static electricity
and easily cleaned. It might not be as soft as nylon but it would
be a good option for a high traffic area. A step up would be polyester
fibers. They are soft and clean easily, but they will not hold
up quite as well in an area that gets a lot of traffic.
Wool Carpet Is Soft And Durable
If your tastes move toward something a bit more lavish, then
look at wool fiber carpeting. Wool carpeting is a lot more expensive
but you definitely get your money’s worth. It is extremely soft
and is always durable. It is great carpet choice to put on the
floor of your high traffic living room!
If you are on a budget, then you could also think about a blend,
such as nylon/olefin. These two popular fibers create a great
blend that is suitable for any room! Once you look over all of
your options and make your decision you will be on your way to
a warmer, happier household!

Little Known Home Decorating Facts....
How is carpet made?
Carpet is made in several ways. It ranges
from a simple knotted fabric tied together to make an old fashioned
rug or it can be a complicated process of knotting fabric with
stitching. Some carpets are woven and some are stitched.
Most carpets today are made with synthetic
fibers and are done with a machine. But you can still find hand-made
carpets made of natural fibers. You can expect to pay more for
the natural fiber carpets that are hand made and stitched or woven
on a loom.
Home decor starts out simply. You find a place to decorate. From
that point there are endless possibilities. You can make it in
any style you wish once you have the fundamental knowledge to
help you make the right choices when it comes to colors, fabrics
and accessories.
It can even turn from a hobby into a career. Many interior decorators
began with an interest in decorating their own home and proceeded
from there.
Rugs, lamps, pictures and throws can be overwhelming to someone
without decorating experience. Items that look great in pictures
seem to not go well with your furniture or vice versa. It takes
a bit of knowledge and creativity to bring together different
elements into one cohesive, beautiful design.
