Pest Management In Your Home And Garden
By Rodger G Allenby
Pest management in your home and garden may be required to keep
pest infestation under control. You do not want snails, slugs,
caterpillars and insects eating all your hard work in the garden.
You spend hours preparing your garden hoping to be rewarded with
your fruit, vegetables and herbs for your family meal table. Instead,
your reward is taken away by pest infestations.
If you wish to avoid using chemical pesticides on your garden,
then you can use a number of methods to avoid pests attacking
your growing plants. One method is to place mulch on the ground,
making it difficult for creepers like snails and slugs to get
to your plants.
Your aim is to prepare for an eventual attack by pests on your
garden and home by using a number of methods to fight against
the onslaught.
Keeping Pests Out Of Your Home And Garden
The nicest homes in the neighborhood can have pest problems,
so you shouldn’t feel too bad if it happens to you. There is only
so much you can do to keep the critters out, and if they really
want to come in, they usually find a way.
Each summer I have a problem with ants coming into my home, which
is really baffling because I live on the second floor. I have
no idea how they get up here, but they do. If you have a related
problem and you can’t seem to handle it on your own, you might
want to find someone who specializes in pest management.
Bugs Love Plants In Your Garden
There are many reasons why you may need pest management, and
they are not all about the things that might find their way into
your home. If you love gardening, you may have to learn about
pest management on your own. There are certain bugs that are attracted
to a particular plant, and if you have one of those, those bugs
can destroy your garden.
You may not want to use chemicals to get rid of them if you don’t
have to, and that means finding information online or talk staff
at the nursery. There are some natural ways to get rid of some
types of critters that might be hampering your garden, and you
will probably find these to be rather easy and effective.
Pest Management In Your Home
When it comes to past management in your home, there are some
things you can do on your own. If you have a problem with ants,
you can get ant traps that work very well. They contain a poison
that the ants carry back to their homes to share.
This can be a problem if you have pets or children however, so
think about where you put those traps before you put them down.
You don’t want either pet or child to get into one of them. If
you really don’t want to take the chance, you may have to find
someone else to come in and take care of the problem for you.
Bed Bugs In Your Home
When it comes to things like bed bugs, you may want outside pest
management simply because they are very hard to get rid of. Having
these does not mean you are unclean, it just means you probably
carried one home from somewhere. They hide in luggage and even
on clothing and will make a new home in your house if they arrive
safely.
They are hard to control without professional pest management,
and you don’t want to mess around. Get rid of them as soon as
you can before you have to replace every piece of furniture in
your home.
Controlling Pests In Your Garden
Pest management in your garden may also require a bit of effort.
If your garden is infested with bugs, you may need to look at
your management practices and find solutions. If you have an organic
garden and want to avoid the use of chemical pesticides, then
you can look for solutions depending on the pest.
If your garden is infested with bugs, you may look for organic
pesticides at your local nursery. Another solution is to make
it difficult for pests to attack your plants. You can place plenty
of mulch on the ground, preventing snails and crawling insects
from reaching your plants.
Another solution is to grow your plants above ground on a plant
stand, in a gardening container. You can even include your gardening
container in your home or a greenhouse, far way from any insects
or creeping creatures.
There are many solutions to control pests in your garden with
better pest management.
