Plastic Flower Pot Garden Nursery Landscaping Guide
Plastic Flower Pot With Blooming Flowers
By Suzzie T Franklin
Plastic flower pot is a convenient tool to use in your gardening
and landscaping around the house. If you want to add some bright
colours to a dull area outside your house, you can always add
some plastic flower pots full of blooming flowers.
As plastic flower pots are relatively light, when in comparison
to ceramic flower pots, you can move them around the yard and
inside the house when its cold and windy outside.
I would say plastic flower pots are one of the most convenient
tools to use in your gardening. They are available at home improvement,
garden supplies stores and nurseries.
Placing plastic flower pots with blooming flowers all around
the house is one of the easiest acts you can perform to improve
the landscape around your home.
Your Own Flowers Around The House
Planting and nurturing your own flowers is something that can
be done year round. In the summer you can move the heartier plants
outdoors during the day to brighten the landscape of your home
and yard.
In the winter months, filling plastic flower pots with African
violets and mums brings some of the outdoors inside to enjoy.
For people who don’t naturally have a green thumb, it can be
intimidating to imagine taking care of flowers.
It’s really not that complicated at all, with a review
your options and a little tender loving care, some water and some
sunlight, you can grow plants that will last for months and in
some cases years.
Good Quality Planting Soil
The first step is purchasing the supplies you’ll need. If you
are planning on growing flowers from seeds you’ll need good quality
planting soil and a plastic flower pot for each plant you intend
on growing.
If you are going to display plants that have already blossomed,
a larger plastic flower pot is more appropriate.
Plastic Flower Pots With Holes At The Bottom
It’s a good idea to choose pots that have several holes in the
bottom. This is important for several reasons. One is that a plastic
flower pot with several circular holes in the bottom allows for
any excess moisture to seep out.
By the same token some plants prefer to sit within a saucer of
water so the roots can soak up the moisture. Having the holes
in the bottom of the pot also helps with this.
Range Of Colours From Bright Yellow To Dark Black
The colors to choose from are almost endless. You may prefer
bright colors such as yellow or red. If the décor of the room
you are putting the plastic flower pot in is less vivacious choose
a tan or even black plastic flower pot.
Blue flower pots look wonderful in a kitchen of the same color.
You may also want to place a flowering plant in a pot whose color
matches the blossoms.
Inexpensive And Easy To Find
They are very inexpensive and relatively easy to find at most
gardening or home improvement stores. You can also order fun and
original designs online. Some artists specialize in decorating
these on a custom order basis.
In this case you can get a plastic flower pot in the exact color
and design that you believe will best complement your room.
Create Your Own Designs
If you’re feeling very crafty yourself you can certainly
purchase the supplies you need to create your own designs. Just
take a plain plastic flower pot, a paint brush and some craft
paint.
Use your imagination and be as creative as you like. Your plants
will look wonderful in your own, original flower pots.
Look For Sunshine And Moisture
Plastic flower pots can be placed around the front of the house,
where there is plenty of sun and moisture.
I use a variety of sizes of flower pots, depending on the flowers
I wish to grow. I use both plastic and ceramic flower pots. The
plastic flower pots are a lot easier to move around, especially
if you want to move the plants and grow something else in their
current location, or move them towards an area where there is
more sun.
Plastic Pots Are Almost Weightless
The plastic flower pots are a lot lighter than ceramic pots.
When you consider the soil content seems to weigh a ton and then
the heavy ceramic also adds another weight, then in comparison,
the plastic flower pot is almost weightless.
In my gardening experience, I have found the easiest to move
around are the plastic flower pot.
