Little Known Stained Glass Facts....
How is stained glass created?
The process begins with a window and a vision
of a pattern. It can be a figure, abstract design or be a landscape.
The only limit is the artist’s imagination. Once the exact dimension
and template is created the artist begins the process of making
the stained glass.
Each color is done individually and placed
into the design pattern. Large pieces are secured with iron rods
to give the piece stability. In the past lead was used between
the pieces as the binding element. Today copper foil is used instead.
