Underground Pet Fence To Keep Your Pet Within Your Yard
By Rodger G Allenby
Underground pet fence is an effective fencing system that allows
you to keep your pet within an allocated area, without the presence
of an unsightly above ground fence.
This is especially helpful if your pet has a habit of disappearing
into your neighborhood and you want to keep the pet within an
allocated boundary.
The underground pet fence has wires placed underground and a
collar on your pet. If the pet steps close to the boundary it
will hear beeps and if it steps on the boundary it will either
get a mild static electric shock or a spray of Citronella, depending
on your settings.
Both of these methods are considered humane and will not harm
your pet. For confirmation if an underground pet fence is the
best solution for your pet, contact your local vet.
Superior To A Traditional Fence
There are many reasons that an underground pet fence is superior
to a traditional fence used to keep pets in a particular area.
These units are gaining popularity for good reason.
They are safe, effective and they are reasonably priced. Finding
an underground pet fence that suits your needs is a breeze, too.
Nothing is less attractive than a metal fence on a piece of private
property. They may be effective at keeping some animals in a certain
area but they definitely do nothing for privacy and aesthetic
tastes.
The Fence Is Underground And Invisible
An underground pet fence is invisible. You can put any kind of
decorative fencing around your yard that you like. Many of the
decorative versions are very attractive but they do little to
keep your dog, cat or other valuable pet in a certain space.
You can still have the peace of mind in knowing that your animals
are safe and also have any type of decorative fencing around your
yard.
My Dog The Magician
Certain animals are very keen on getting the better of their
owners. I once owned a dog who we called the magician. We used
an ugly chain fence to keep him in his area.
He had plenty of room and his own house but he liked to have
adventures. The gregarious animal liked to visit the neighbors
and make new friends.
We had no idea how he was getting out of the fenced yard. He
somehow magically appeared on the other side. I hated to keep
him on a leash all day even if it did allow him to roam quite
a bit.
Our pup was just too curious and friendly to stay put. Our only
other option was to get an underground pet fence.
This was the best decision we have ever made when it came to
our curious pup. He had the whole yard now and he quickly learned
that he was to stay within a certain space. The underground pet
fence allowed him to roam in his own yard without a leash and
it replaced that ugly old fencing that we used to have.
Now that we have the underground pet fence I have more room to
take on landscaping projects. My pup can hang out right next to
me while I work in the yard and I have no worries of him wandering
off.
Disappearing Into The Neighbourhood
If your pet has a habit of disappearing into the neighborhood
and you keep looking for it, it may be an idea to consult your
vet about installing an underground pet fence in your yard.
The aim of the fence is to keep your pet within the boundaries
of an area and if the pet moves close to the boundary, it will
get a beep sound and if it steps on the boundary it will either
get a mild static electric shock or a mild spray of Citronella.
Both of these are not considered harmful, but are meant to be
annoying to the animal, to tell the animal you cannot go past
this boundary.
The pet needs to wear a collar and be trained for the methods
to work. You will be helped with all these procedures with the
advice you receive from your vet and where you buy your underground
pet fence.
