Wireless Rain Gauge Garden Nursery Landscaping Guide
Wireless Rain Gauge With Instant Feedback For The Gardener
By Joel F Morningstar
As a society, we are consumed with the weather because it affects
our personal, business and economic well being. All of these factors
often depend upon a review of weather conditions. Other important
daily activities like travel, shopping and social decisions are
also dependent on the weather.
In social settings, if all other conversation starters end in
failure, commenting about the weather is a great way to break
the ice. It is no wonder why people are fascinated with gadgetry
to help them understand it better. A wireless rain gauge along
with other new devices can help you adjust to the changing weather
around you.
Desktop Weather Center For Maintaining Optimal Conditions
First up are weather stations. A weather station is a desktop
weather center that is designed for those who are interested in
achieving and maintaining optimal conditions in their living area
or garden space.
Weather stations usually display temperature and humidity levels
for several locations and twelve to twenty four hour advanced
forecasting. In general, a desktop weather station will show you
forecasts for rain, sun, snow, clouds and partial cloud cover
at a glance.
Instant Feedback For The Gardener And Hobbyist
A wireless rain gauge is designed for the gardener or hobbyist
who wants instant feedback. No more going out in the weather to
measure rainfall; a wireless garden rain gauge typically has a
tracking range of around one hundred feet and displays rainfall
measurement history data.
A digital rain gauge can also track current temperatures and
temperature trends at a quick glance. Typically, these handy units
can be placed on a desktop or mounted to a wall in most cases.
Lighted And Wind Resistant Umbrellas
There are now wind resistant and lighted umbrellas. No one could
have suspected that even the umbrella would go high tech. If you
are like most people, you have had your umbrella turn inside out
in high winds, causing you to get soaked and wondering why you
bothered with an umbrella in the first place.
Now there are wind resistant umbrellas that are designed to prevent
that unpleasant problem. Another new feature for umbrellas is
the lighted umbrella. Lighted umbrellas have a clear acrylic shaft
which contains a light source that doesn’t require the bulb to
be replaced.
Not only does this feature allow you to see your way in the dark,
it allows others to be able to see you.
Reading Relative Humidity On A Digital Display
A hygrometer measures relative humidity and has been added to
the list of gadgets because they are now programmed to display
not only the humidity, but temperature and almost every environmental
factor imaginable.
A recent trend has hygrometers scaled down to hand-held sizes,
designed for portability for outdoors enthusiasts. These units
display current conditions on a digital display.
Back Lighting To See In The Dark
A digital rain gauge that has a large screen can help people
who might want to see the temperature without needing to walk
right up to the base to see it. If it is important that the screen
be visible in the evening hours, then choose a model with a base
unit that has back lighting to make viewing the display easier.
Many times you can find a wireless rain gauge that has other
features too, such as temperature display that can be programmed
to give a history of the weather within the last few days or weeks.

Little Known Facts About Rain Gauge....
What is a rain gauge?
Meteorologists and hydrologists must be able
to accurately, or somewhat accurately, know how much precipitation
they have in a given area each time it rains. So they use an instrument
called a rain gauge. But rain gauges also called udometers or
pluviometers. These specific instruments measure the amount of
rainfall.
Many people think that rain gauges are
also used to see solid precipitation but they actually do not.
They are pretty much single use instruments because they only
measure rain. It is not just scientists though that uses these
gauges.
You will often find rain gauges on farms
and in front yards so that the people who own them know how much
rain they just received. It can be a good indicator of whether
or not they need to artificially water their crops or plants.
